THE IMPACT OF EDUCATION

Today, we will discuss the importance of education and its impact on the human mind.

Do you know Pythagoras was a big advocate of women’s empowerment? He said that women had the right to be educated in ancient Greece in the 6th century BCE.

In Ancient India, education was highly prevalent; many polymaths came from India. Bhaskaracharya’s Lilavati, a treatise on mathematics, is named after his daughter Lilavati, who was proficient in arithmetic and geometry. Bhaskaracharya was a mathematician and astronomer in the 12th century CE.

Gargi in the Vedic era (1500 BCE to 600 BCE) used to take part in debates and was knowledgeable in mathematics.

In the early 20th century, Shrinivas Ramanujan, who would bleed mathematics on paper till the end of his life, died at an early age of 32.

And many more unparalleled contributions in ancient history, where both men and women would be interested in the science of life.

Education builds character, personality, and self-esteem; it gives wings to our imagination. In Sanatan, the lifestyle also included sacred geometry in floral art, like rangoli, a timekeeper, a sundial, or computing calendars. Temple architecture, mandalas, dams, wells, and a drainage system; construction of buildings and altars; and calculating planetary positions, sculptors, etc.

The future and purpose of science and education have to be morally right because we are at the peak of evolution. Science in ancient Bharat was much advanced, but it was and is always believed that prevention or precaution is better than cure. Given today’s mental health and physical health decline. It is a must to educate ourselves and relive the yogic lifestyle.

A discipline of active learning and educating oneself, feeding one’s mind with the right knowledge so that it reflects on our thoughts, words, and actions. Keeping away from chaos and distractions and keeping ourselves busy, is the motive. Especially, alignment in thoughts, words, and actions is important for building integrity.
